Why athletes stay with Kinetic PR for performance care

Past patients and proactive athletes use performance care to train more confidently and avoid the frustration of repeat injuries.

Levi is a great dude, better PT. Really knows what he is doing with the exercise recommendations and dry needling. I really like that the focus is on training muscles to prevent injury and soothe pain rather than putting band-aids on the issues with massage. Definitely recommended- worth the price!

The best physical therapy experience I have ever had! Dr Levi Kerby is extremely knowledgeable, professional and helped me get back to my movement pain free. My sessions were an hour where I spent time with Dr Kerby diagnosing my issue, and he provided modalities to treat it (ex dry needling, stretches etc). I left with exercises to work on on my own, and have a strength plan moving forward. I could not recommend him and his team enough!

TLDR: excellent service, 10/10, I only wish I had come in sooner.

I can’t recommend KPR enough! I went to a “corporate” PT office for several months before making the switch to Levi and it is a night and day difference. Instead of having a PT who was cycling through 1-2 other patients at the same time as my visit, Levi spends a full hour dedicated to my recovery. I initially started seeing Levi to rehab from a shoulder surgery, and then mentioned knee pain for which the first PT couldn’t identify the cause. That PT didn’t have the appropriate time or equipment to properly assess the cause of my pain, but within 20 minutes Levi identified that the pain was caused by issues in the hip and ankle, not knee, and a nagging pain I’ve dealt with for years is now gone! While “traditional” PTs mainly focus on rehabbing pain to eliminate it from daily tasks, Levi understands the unique need to rehab past daily tasks to athletic endeavors for active individuals in whatever form that takes (CrossFit, hiking, lifting, etc) and how to ensure you stay healthy for years to come. I might run out of space on this review because I can’t sing his praises enough! So happy I made the switch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions athletes ask about monthly performance care and maintenance visits.

Who is performance care for?

It's for people who train consistently and want ongoing support to stay healthy. Many are past Kinetic PR patients who want to maintain progress, but some are proactive athletes who've never had a major injury.

How often do I come in for performance care?

Most people schedule monthly visits, but some come in every 6–8 weeks depending on their training cycle and goals. We'll help you figure out the right frequency after your first visit.

Is this the same as regular physical therapy?

Not quite. Performance care is more about optimization, maintenance, and early intervention rather than rehab from acute injury. Sessions focus on mechanics, programming, and keeping you consistent.

Do I need to have done rehab at Kinetic PR first?

No. If you're training consistently and want proactive support to stay ahead of injuries, you can start with performance care. We'll do an initial assessment to understand your movement and goals.

Can I use performance care if I'm dealing with minor pain?

Yes. Performance care is a great time to address small issues before they turn into bigger problems. If the issue is more serious, we'll adjust the plan or transition you to a focused rehab block.
