Kernersville Athletes Choose Kinetic PR

People from Kernersville who train seriously appreciate working with Orthopedic Clinical Specialists who understand volume, intensity, and what it takes to stay healthy long-term.

I came to Dr. Kirby after a significant flare up from a recurring low back/hip injury that prevented me from squatting and caused significant mobility issues. After working to identify the structural cause, we worked to re-strengthen muscles and reform movement patterns. We worked for several weeks with guided exercises and dry needling. I’ve been able to resume training at a high intensity with NO substitutions necessary. I’ve also been able to squat with zero pain for the first time in several years. I would highly recommend working with him. He is extremely knowledgeable and competent and has your wellness in mind.

Levi did an incredible job helping me with a shoulder injury. He not only helped me feel better but helped me be more aware of why the injury happened in the first place and what to work on to prevent it from happening again. Levi is incredibly dedicated to his patients and a great PT all around. Definitely recommend his services!

I can’t recommend KPR enough! I went to a “corporate” PT office for several months before making the switch to Levi and it is a night and day difference. Instead of having a PT who was cycling through 1-2 other patients at the same time as my visit, Levi spends a full hour dedicated to my recovery. I initially started seeing Levi to rehab from a shoulder surgery, and then mentioned knee pain for which the first PT couldn’t identify the cause. That PT didn’t have the appropriate time or equipment to properly assess the cause of my pain, but within 20 minutes Levi identified that the pain was caused by issues in the hip and ankle, not knee, and a nagging pain I’ve dealt with for years is now gone! While “traditional” PTs mainly focus on rehabbing pain to eliminate it from daily tasks, Levi understands the unique need to rehab past daily tasks to athletic endeavors for active individuals in whatever form that takes (CrossFit, hiking, lifting, etc) and how to ensure you stay healthy for years to come. I might run out of space on this review because I can’t sing his praises enough! So happy I made the switch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from Kernersville athletes.

How do you help athletes stay in training during rehab?

We adjust volume, intensity, and movement patterns based on where you are in recovery. Most athletes continue training with modifications while we address mechanics and build capacity back up.

What's the I3 Model you mention?

The I3 Model guides our process: calm the injury, fix incomplete mechanics, and build incident-ready performance. It's our framework for helping you get out of pain and stay out long-term.

Do you work with runners training for races?

Yes. Many Kernersville runners work with us while training for marathons, half marathons, and ultras. We help manage volume, address biomechanics, and keep you progressing toward race day.

Can you help with strength training injuries?

Absolutely. We work with barbell athletes, powerlifters, and strength-focused trainees dealing with hip, back, shoulder, and knee pain under load. We understand programming and help you lift safely.

What happens after I'm back to full training?

Many athletes transition to our Performance Care visits, monthly check-ins to stay ahead of issues, adjust training loads, and maintain the mechanics we built during rehab.
